John van der Walt has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. John most recently worked as the Delivery Design & Implementation Lead at the Department of Internal Affairs in New Zealand. Prior to that, they served as a Director at Capgemini and as a Practice Manager at both Intergen and Nexio South Africa. John also held the position of Portfolio Manager - Cloud and Hosting at Vodacom. Additionally, John has experience as a General Manager at FiveFriday and as a Principal Lead at Karabina Solutions. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Software Architect and Lead Developer at Tee Solutions Group and as a Team Lead at MWEB Business. Before that, John served as a Senior Developer at Life Healthcare.
John van der Walt completed their BA in Social Anthropology and Information Sciences from North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit in the years 1995 to 1998. Prior to that, they obtained their Matric degree in Bachelor of Arts (BA) Information Sciences from Ferdinand Postma High School between 1990 and 1994. In terms of additional certifications, John completed the Microsoft Customer Care Accelerator Technical Training course at Microsoft (Dubai) in 2010. John also obtained the MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) NT 4.0, Windows certification in 1999 from Microsoft.
