Kate Nixon

Kate Nixon has a diverse work experience, primarily in the field of design and advisory roles. Kate started their career at Inland Revenue NZ in 2007 as a Business Designer and worked there until 2014. In 2014, they joined the Department of Internal Affairs (NZ) and held various roles including Senior Design Specialist, Senior Advisor (Design), Principal Advisor, and Design Manager. Kate'smost recent position at the Department of Internal Affairs is Design Director, which they have held since January 2021. Throughout their career, Kate has demonstrated their expertise in service design and has contributed to the development of customer-centered public services.

Kate Nixon completed their Bachelor of Arts in Social Policy at Massey University from 1995 to 1997. Later in 1998, they pursued their Honours degree in Public Policy at Victoria University of Wellington.
