Mattie C. is an experienced clinical counselor with a career spanning nearly two decades. Currently serving as a Clinical Counselor at the Christian Appalachian Project since March 2020, Mattie has previously held positions as a Psychotherapist at Addiction Services and Counselor in private practice. Responsibilities have included treatment planning, daily operations of a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF), co-directing an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), outpatient and inpatient therapy, grief and trauma-focused counseling, business development, and supervising other counselors. Mattie has extensive experience with evidence-based treatments, particularly in trauma therapy, and has actively contributed to initiatives aimed at improving mental health services in the Appalachian region. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling and Human Services from Lindsey Wilson College and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Morehead State University.
