Amber Cutter Dipiazza

Scientist Ii, Next Generation Sequencing at Chroma Medicine

Amber Cutter DiPiazza is a highly skilled scientist currently serving as Scientist II in Next Generation Sequencing at Chroma Medicine since May 2023. Previously, Amber held various roles at Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc., including Senior Test Engineer, where responsibilities included leading long-read sequencing projects and managing cross-functional teams to enhance NGS capabilities. Amber's experience also includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the National Cancer Institute, focusing on genetic and biochemical approaches to study heterochromatin and gene silencing, as well as research roles during graduate studies at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Amber earned a PhD and an MS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, along with a BS in Biochemistry from Siena College.
