Ricardo Noel Ramirez has a diverse work experience in the field of computational biology and data sciences. Ricardo Noel is currently working as the Associate Director at Chroma Medicine, where they lead the computational biology and data sciences team. Prior to this, they held roles as a Senior Scientist and Scientist II at the same company. Before joining Chroma Medicine, Ricardo worked as a Consultant for a brief period.
Earlier in their career, Ricardo worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School, where they focused on studying the genomic architecture of FoxP3 in regulatory T cells using advanced techniques like HiChIP and scATAC-seq.
Ricardo Noel also has extensive experience as a PhD Graduate Student at UC Irvine, where they conducted a comprehensive study on myeloid differentiation and gene regulatory networks. Additionally, they worked as a CIRM Stem cell fellow, specializing in human embryonic stem cells under the supervision of Dr. Marian Waterman and Dr. Peter Donovan.
Ricardo Noel Ramirez completed their education from 2011 to 2016 at UC Irvine, obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Systems Biology, Computational Regulatory Genomics, and Single-cell Genomics. Prior to that, they studied at California State University, Long Beach, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Cell and Molecular Biology with a minor in Chemistry.
