Matthew Weeks

Matthew Weeks has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. In 2014, they started working as a Software Engineer Co-op at Media Classified Corporation Canada, where they implemented a RESTful API and created a CMS using NodeJS, Express, and AngularJS. Matthew later worked as a Full Stack Developer and Scrum Master at the same company, focusing on developing RESTful APIs, implementing full-text search with Elasticsearch, and utilizing Redis for object storage and retrieval.

In 2016, Matthew joined Inevex Solutions as a Lead Web Developer. Here, they built a React Native application with a MeteorJS backend, a React dashboard, and a payment module for a mobile survey application. Matthew also led a team of developers and an automation engineer to assist with front-end updates and AWS deployments.

Matthew then started MWeeks Consulting in 2014, where they worked as a Software Development Consultant and helped clients build their applications. Matthew developed a React Native app with a MeteorJS backend, a ReactJS dashboard, and an e-commerce website using WordPress and ReactJS plugins.

In 2018, Matthew joined TribalScale as an Agile Software Engineer and later became a DevOps for Digital Transformations. Matthew re-architected a DotNet Core application for high availability using Docker containers in AWS managed Kubernetes. Matthew also developed a banking web application in React and taught bank service engineers React and NodeJS.

Matthew's next role was at Quantum Mob in 2019. Matthew served as a Senior Software Engineer, Team Lead, and contributed to rebuilding the Airmiles.ca website using React and NodeJS. Matthew also worked on integrating Adobe Experience Manager and developed a React component library.

In 2020, Matthew worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Lazer Technologies and Auth0. At Lazer Technologies, they focused on software development, while at Auth0, they continued their work as a Senior Software Engineer.

Since 2020, Matthew has been hosting a podcast called "Work in programming" where they interview individuals from various tech industry backgrounds.

Currently, Matthew is working as a Senior Software Engineer at Chromatic, where they joined in 2022.

Matthew Weeks attended the University of Ontario Institute of Technology from 2011 to 2016. However, no specific degree or field of study information is available for their education during that time. In November 2018, they obtained a certification as a Google Cloud Platform Architect from Google.
