Alex Robinson

Alex Robinson has a diverse work experience in academia and the private sector. They began their career as a researcher at The University of Birmingham in 1995 and held various roles in research and as a Senior Scientist until 2009. From 2009 to 2011, they co-founded Irresistible Materials. In 2009, they also took on the role of Senior Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham and the University of Warwick until 2014. In 2011, they became the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Irresistible Materials, eventually joining the board of directors in 2016. In 2015, they became a Senior Lecturer at the University of Birmingham and later transitioned to the role of Professor of Nanoengineering in 2022. Additionally, they co-founded another company, Chromatwist, in 2018 and served as the COO and a member of the board of directors. Throughout their career, they have maintained a focus on nanotechnology and engineering.

Alex Robinson attended the University of Birmingham from 1992 to 2000, where they obtained a BSc and PhD in Physics.
