Steve Haßenpflug has an extensive background in game design and blockchain technology. Steve is currently the Design Director at ChromaWay, where they are working on exploring bleeding-edge technology and translating it into novel game systems. Steve is also involved in the development of My Neighbor Alice at Antler Interactive, a web3 simulation game built on the Chromia blockchain platform.
In addition, Steve is a member of the Blockchain Game Alliance, an organization dedicated to promoting blockchain within the game industry. Steve is also the Founder of GameDev Gems, a platform focused on sharing knowledge and best practices in game development.
Prior to their current roles, Steve was the Lead Game Designer & Vision Keeper at Chimera Entertainment, where they led a team in the creation of an unannounced AAA mobile game. Steve also served as the Game Lead at Awoo Studios, where they worked on a Web3 hyper-casual endless runner game connected to the Ethereum Blockchain Network.
Steve's previous experience includes positions as the Design Director at TreasureHunt and Lead Game Designer at Chimera Entertainment. Steve has worked on notable projects such as Dreamworks Trolls Pop and Angry Birds: Evolution.
In addition to their industry experience, Steve has also served as a Guest Lecturer at the University of Television and Film Munich, where they provided guidance and feedback to students on game design concepts.
Steve Haßenpflug attended the Games Academy from 2011 to 2012, where they studied Game Design. In addition to their education at the Games Academy, they obtained a certification in Management English - Language Training from G.i.t.-seminare GmbH & Co. KG in December 2012. Steve also holds a certification as a Certified IT specialist in systems integration, granted by the Industrie- und Handelskammer (Chambers of Commerce & Industry), although the specific time frame for obtaining this certification is not provided.
