Vivek Galatage

Vivek Galatage is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in web technologies and software architecture. Currently serving as a founding engineer at The Browser Company since July 2020, Vivek has been actively involved in projects related to browser development. Prior to this, Vivek held significant roles at Chromium and WebKit.org as a reviewer and committer, respectively, and contributed over 400 patches across both platforms. A former Senior Principal Architect at Visteon Corporation, Vivek specialized in advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and developed numerous innovative solutions. Previous positions include Senior Chief Engineer at Samsung Electronics, where Vivek led the open-source team and contributed to the Samsung Internet browser, and a Senior Software Engineer at Nokia, working on web and flash runtime service APIs. Vivek's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Walchand College of Engineering and coursework at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
