Russell Thornton

Russell Thornton possesses extensive experience in the electrical engineering field, currently serving as the Vice President of G & T System Control at Chugach Electric Association since February 2013. Prior roles at Chugach Electric Association include Senior Manager of System Control and System Studies Engineer, where Russell conducted power flow and dynamic stability studies. Additionally, Russell is the owner of Thornton Engineering since June 2005 and previously worked as an Electrical Engineer at Electric Power Systems and a Protection Engineer at Chugach Electric Association. Russell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and an Associate's degree in Electronics Technology from Anchorage Community College.
