Matt Gillis

Matt Gillis is an experienced executive with a strong background in finance and operations, currently serving as Executive Administrator and CFO at Church at the Cross since November 2021. Gillis has demonstrated leadership in human resources, financial planning, and employee development, while successfully executing initiatives such as a comprehensive onboarding process and a structured employee training program. Previously, Gillis held various significant roles at Renasant Bank from September 2009 to November 2021, including Director of Strategic Leadership for Salesforce and nCino Solutions, where substantial contributions included the rapid implementation of an SBA PPP loan process resulting in over $1 billion in funding. Additionally, Gillis has served on the boards of organizations such as Boys and Girls Clubs of North Mississippi and the GumTree Museum. Educational credentials include a BA in Banking and Finance from Mississippi State University and an MBA in Project Management from Walden University.
