Kelly Benton has a diverse work experience, starting in 2010 as a Student Public Finance Specialist at The City of Auburn. Kelly was responsible for preparing daily deposit summaries, weekly reconciliations, and completing journal entries. In 2012, they worked as a Tax Intern at Frost Cummings Tidwell Group, LLC, where they prepared state and federal tax returns and filed extensions. Later that year, they became a Tax/Audit Associate at Haynes Downard, LLP, managing client QuickBooks, completing bank reconciliations, paying bills, cutting checks, and producing budgets. In 2014, Kelly joined Hospicelink as an Account Manager, providing support to customers, ensuring client satisfaction, and offering consultative services. Kelly later became a Senior Account Analyst at Hospicelink, where they analyzed client data and assisted Account Managers in problem-solving. Most recently, in 2018, Kelly became the Director of Accounting at the Church of the Highlands.
Kelly Benton attended Auburn University from 2008 to 2012 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Following that, in 2012, they went on to study at the University of Montevallo and received a Master of Business Administration degree in Business Administration and Management, General in 2013.
