Carlos A. Torres

Carlos A. Torres has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Carlos A. served as the IT Director at South American Restaurants Corp since April 2018. Prior to that, they worked at Popular as the Vice President of Technology from August 2013 to April 2018. Carlos A. also held the position of ISD Director at Walmart from September 2009 to August 2013, where they played a key role in restructuring the local ISD department and supporting the SAP implementation. As the Caribbean CIO at PepsiCo from January 2005 to September 2009, Carlos aligned IT strategies with business objectives and implemented a centralized IT system. Additionally, they served as the IT Director at Suiza Dairy Corp from September 1999 to January 2005, where they managed the annual IT budget and advised company management on IT-related matters. Carlos began their career as a Senior Programmer/Analyst at PepsiCo from March 1994 to February 1999, where they contributed to the implementation of the Pipeline System.

Carlos A. Torres obtained a BBA in Information Systems from the Universidad de Puerto Rico.
