Christian Thorball

Christian Thorball is an accomplished researcher with a focus on translational research and precision medicine. From May 2020 to February 2023, Christian served as the Head of Translational Research in the Precision Medicine Unit at CHUV, Lausanne University Hospital, after previously working as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the same unit. Prior experience includes a significant tenure at EPFL, where Christian contributed as a Postdoctoral Researcher and PhD Student, engaging in analyses of genotyping and sequencing data, HLA alleles imputation, and polygenic risk scores. Christian also held a consultant position at Virogates A/S, responsible for analyzing suPAR in blood samples, and worked as a Research Assistant at EPFL. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Biochemistry specializing in Immunology from the University of Copenhagen and a PhD in Life Sciences from the University of Lausanne, as well as a PhD Student position at EPFL.
