Ana Laín Torre, PhD, is a skilled professional with extensive experience in the fields of research, evaluation, and consultancy. Currently serving as an Expert Evaluator for Horizon Europe Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions at the European Commission since November 2015, Ana participates in the assessment of proposals for postdoctoral fellowships and doctoral networks. Additionally, as an External Evaluator for the Research and Innovation Foundation since September 2020, Ana assesses research and innovation projects under the Restart 2016-2020 funding scheme in Cyprus. With a background as a researcher in precision medicine at CIC bioGUNE since 2007 and a role as a Life Science Consultant at Xnnovate since January 2020, Ana specializes in supporting deep tech companies in achieving commercial success. Furthermore, involvement as a Scientific Advisor for the eHealth project Augmented Carer! exemplifies Ana's commitment to applying scientific expertise to societal challenges. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biology and Microbiology from Universidad del País Vasco and additional training in Project Management from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
