Paula Isla Gangoiti

Predoctoral Researcher at CIC biomaGUNE

Paula Isla Gangoiti is a predoctoral researcher at CIC biomaGUNE, focusing on biocatalytic films for the organization of cell-free biosynthetic pathways, and is a member of both the Biomolecular Nanotechnology Lab and the Heterogeneous Biocatalysis Lab. Gangoiti's academic journey includes a Master's degree in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine from Universidad de Cantabria and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Universidad de Burgos. Previous research experience includes a role as a Master's Student Researcher at Instituto de Biomedicina y Biotecnología de Cantabria, where the focus was on the structural characterization of PfaC, and an undergraduate student researcher at Instituto de Síntesis Química y Catálisis Homogénea. Gangoiti also has experience in manufacturing and quality control at Laboratorios Pino. Currently, Gangoiti is pursuing a PhD in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine at Universidad del País Vasco, supported by a grant from the State Program to Develop, Attract and Retain Talent.
