Emily is the lead speech-language pathologist at OTA. Emily received her certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed to practice speech-language pathology within the state of Massachusetts. Emily strives to create a fun play-based environment for her clients to build upon their strengths and communicate effectively in their everyday lives. She has a DIRFloortime ® Basic Certificate and is certified in Story Grammar Marker® and the Hanen© Programs: It Takes Two to Talk, More than Words®, and TalkAbility. She has experience working with children and adolescents in school-based, clinic-based, and early intervention settings. Originally from New York, she received her Master of Science degree in speech-language pathology from Ithaca College and her bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY.
