Ozlem E.

Ozlem E. has diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Ozlem is currently working as a Senior Medical Director at Cidara Therapeutics, starting in June 2021. Prior to this, they founded and served as the President of Miora Connection since April 2016.

Ozlem has also held positions at Cedars-Sinai, where they served as an Institutional Biosafety Committee Member starting in June 2008. Ozlem was also an Associate Professor of Pediatrics from June 2007 to September 2010 and a member of the Institutional Review (Ethics) Committee from June 2004 to June 2008.

In 2020, Ozlem became a member of the COVID-19 Outbreak Management Branch at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, a role which they held until February 2023. Ozlem was also the Medical Director at Karius from August 2020 to May 2021.

Prior to that, they held the role of Regional Medical and HEOR/Institutional Outcomes Research Scientist, Vaccines and Anti-infectives at Pfizer from September 2009 to August 2017. In addition, they worked as an Inventor and Consultant at Kellbenx from March 2009 to August 2011.

Ozlem E. pursued their education in the field of medicine. Ozlem first attended Hacettepe University from 1985 to 1991, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. Following this, they joined Michigan State University College of Human Medicine as a Resident in Pediatrics from 1993 to 1996. Later, from 1996 to 1999, Ozlem E. attended UCLA for a Fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
