Claire Purves

Claire Purves is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in strategic communication across various industries. Currently serving as the Director of Strategic Communications at Ciena since July 2021, Claire previously held prominent roles such as Director of Communications at ESAB, where efforts included establishing a global communications function across 50 countries. As Communications Director during a special assignment at Colfax Corporation, Claire led the global brand's repositioning and strategy execution. Claire's earlier positions included Global Internal Communications Manager at Howden, Global Communications Manager at Exova Ltd, and roles related to change management and external reporting at Scottish Widows, demonstrating a strong background in communications strategy, brand development, and stakeholder engagement.
