Javier López-Barahona Jiménez is a seasoned legal compliance professional with extensive experience in the financial and insurance sectors. Currently serving as a Legal Compliance Specialist at Cigna since August 2019, Javier previously held significant roles including Head Compliance Iberia at BNP Paribas Cardif, where responsibilities included the implementation of compliance procedures and reporting to the Executive Committee. Prior experience encompasses Head Legal & Compliance Spain at Genworth Mortgage Insurance, where management of legal issues and product development support was provided, as well as roles at CPP Group Spain, Banesto, Ausbanc, Banco Santander, and JURILEX. Javier holds a Law Degree from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and several advanced certifications, including a Master’s in Anti-money Laundering & Counter-Terrorist Financing from ESNECA Business School and a PostGraduate Certificate as a Data Protection Officer from Universidad Nebrija.
