Umashankar Saketharaman holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, which they obtained from 1983 to 1987. Umashankar then pursued an MBA, earning a PGDM (MBA) degree in Marketing & Finance from the Xavier Institute of Management (XIM Bhubaneswar) from 1996 to 1998.
