We are a Public Research Center coordinated by the mexican National Council of Science and Technology (Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología, Conacyt). Its strategic objectives are: - To carry out research, development and innovation in science and technology with criteria of excellence in the areas of materials, energy and environment with the aim of boosting the country’s development. - To form high-level human capital in the areas of specialization through postgraduate studies programs. - To provide technological and innovative solutions to the productive, academic and social sectors through services, assessments, consulting and generation of technological development.
