Mark McDonald

Mark McDonald has a strong background in healthcare administration, with over 30 years of experience in various leadership roles. Mark started their career at Kaiser Permanente as a Manager of Management Engineering, where they worked for a decade.

In 1994, Mark joined Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati as the Vice President for Cardiovascular Services. Mark was responsible for overseeing a six-hospital cardiovascular program and implementing strategic planning for new services and market retention.

In 2001, they became the Chief Operating Officer at Ohio Heart and Vascular Center, managing daily activities for a multi-specialty cardiovascular practice. During their tenure, they developed growth strategies and objectives, including a merger with another cardiovascular surgeon practice.

Currently, Mark serves as the Vice President at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, managing all financial and business functions of The Heart Institute. Mark achieved a remarkable 500% improvement in contribution margin within 8 years.

Mark McDonald earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Anthropology from the University of Cincinnati, where they attended from 1977 to 1978.
