Catherine Razal

Catherine Razal is an experienced animal welfare and conservation professional with a strong background in zoology and ecology. Currently serving as an Animal Excellence Scientist at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden since August 2021, Catherine previously worked as a Conservation and Animal Wellness Specialist at the Texas State Aquarium and as an Animal Behavior Research Assistant at the Brookfield Zoo. Additional experience includes roles at the Phoenix Zoo, San Diego Zoo Global, Walt Disney World, and Point Defiance Zoological Society. Catherine holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from The University of Arizona, earned between 2007 and 2014.
