Julie Barnes Dvm

Julie Barnes, DVM, MS, is a highly experienced veterinary professional with a focus on theriogenology, currently serving as a Theriogenology Resident and Postdoctoral Scientist at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden since August 2019. In addition, Julie has been an Associate Veterinarian at All Creatures Animal Hospital - Amelia since December 2019. Previous experience includes roles as an Associate Veterinarian at Gentle Care Animal Hospital and an intern at Cornell University's Leadership Program for Veterinary Students and UC Davis's STAR Internship. Julie's early career involved conservation research at the Memphis Zoo and various roles at the Chattanooga Zoo. Academic achievements include a Master of Science from the University of Cincinnati and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Julie also holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
