Parker Pennington serves as the On-Site Operations Manager and Co-PI at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, overseeing research initiatives related to the American Institute for Rhinoceros Science. Responsibilities include studying the interplay between management strategies, animal wellbeing, and reproductive health in rhinos. Previously, Parker held positions at the Smithsonian Institution as a Smithsonian Fellow and at the National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute as a Postdoctoral Fellow, as well as at the San Diego Zoo Institute for Conservation Research as a Postdoctoral Researcher. Focus areas included reproductive monitoring and the development of assisted reproductive technologies for rhinos. Parker holds a PhD in Environmental Science and Public Policy from George Mason University, a Master's degree in Reproductive Physiology, and a Bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences from Louisiana State University.
