Christin Godale

Director of Life Sciences at CincyTech

Christin Godale is the Director of Life Sciences at CincyTech. She evaluates investment opportunities for CincyTech’s Life Sciences portfolio in this role.

Christin completed her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and Biology at Baldwin Wallace University and her Ph.D. in Neuroscience at the University of Cincinnati.

Christin is a Cleveland native whose passion for neuroscience was inspired by her own personal journey. Early in her life, Christin was diagnosed with epilepsy, a neurological disorder defined by recurrent, unprovoked seizures and social stigmas. She has devoted a large portion of her professional life to studying the brain, with her dissertation work concentrating on elucidating the mechanisms underlying the development of temporal lobe epilepsy.

Christin has had a number of peer-reviewed publications, presented her research at several prestigious national and international neuroscience conferences, and secured grants from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) and the American Epilepsy Society throughout her tenure at the University of Cincinnati. Christin has also received several awards for her scientific merit and excellence, which include recognition from the Greater Cincinnati Association for Women in Science, the Society for Neuroscience, and the National Institutes of Health. She was also honored by the University of Cincinnati with the Presidential Medal of Graduate Student Excellence, the highest award given to graduate students at UC.
