Timothy Shmaefsky

Timothy Shmaefsky began their work experience in 2014 as a Cryptologic Technician in the US Navy, where they served until 2022. Timothy then joined the National Security Agency in 2015, working as a Malware Analyst and System Administrator until 2017. Following that, they worked at the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) from 2018 to 2022, first as a Digital Forensics Examiner and later as a Malware Reverse Engineer. In 2022, they joined Cipher Tech Solutions, Inc. as a Malware Reverse Engineer and Digital Forensics Examiner.

Timothy Shmaefsky obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus, completing their studies from 2015 to 2018. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications, including the eLearnSecurity Junior Penetration Tester certification from eLearnSecurity in October 2022, the Digital Forensic Examiner certification from the DoD Cyber Crime Center (DC3) in March 2023, the Magnet Certified Forensic Examiner certification from Magnet Forensics in February 2023, the Digital Media Collector certification from the DoD Cyber Crime Center (DC3) in February 2019, and the Certified Ethical Hacker certification from EC-Council in August 2015.
