Sadegh Riazi

Sadegh Riazi is the Co-Founder and CEO of CipherMode Labs. Sadegh was previously a strategy consultant at Qualcomm, where they helped develop a go-to-market strategy for the company to participate in the IoT Smart Cities industry. Sadegh has also worked as a doctoral researcher at the University of California San Diego, where their research focused on multi-party computation, computer architecture, and deep learning. Their thesis, "Towards A Private New World: Algorithm, Protocol, and Hardware Co-Design for Large-Scale Secure Computation," won the Best Ph.D. Dissertation Award and the Jacobs Graduate Student Award. Sadegh has also published three papers that are among the top 0.1% most cited papers in computer science.

Sadegh Riazi completed a PhD in Computer Engineering from UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering. Sadegh then went on to earn a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rice University. Finally, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
