CIRAD
Simon Taugourdeau is a researcher specializing in pasture ecology, currently working at CIRAD since June 2015. Simon's roles include conducting research on Moroccan and North African pasture vegetation in relation to climate change and management practices, attached to the IAV Hassan II. Previously, Simon worked as a researcher at Bioforsk, focusing on the effects of sheep grazing on functional diversity, and held PhD positions at INRA and Agroscope Reckenholz-Tänikon Research Station, assessing ecosystem services of grasslands in Europe. Simon's early experience includes internships at CIRAD and CNRS, exploring ecosystem services in coffee plantations and plant functional traits, respectively. Educational credentials include a habilitation to direct research (HDR) in ecology from the University of Montpellier and a Doctorate from Université de Lorraine.
