Fermentation Engineer at Circe

Nicole Marco has a diverse work experience in engineering roles. Nicole currently works as a Fermentation Engineer at Circe since October 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Mori from September 2020 to September 2022, starting as an Engineer I and later transitioning to roles including Associate Engineer, Undergraduate Associate Engineer, and Co-op. Nicole also served as the VP of Administration EWB-USA NEU at Engineers Without Borders - Northeastern University from September 2019 to July 2020, where they organized training for incoming chapter members and managed yearly report distribution. Nicole completed a Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician Co-op role at The Boston Beer Company from December 2018 to June 2019, where they monitored product characteristics and maintained lab equipment. Nicole also served as the Uganda Program Director at Engineers Without Borders - Northeastern University from June 2018 to May 2019. Additionally, Nicole had internships at Artisanal Brew Works as a Brewhouse Intern from June 2018 to August 2018, and at NxStage Medical, Inc. as a Fluids Engineering Co-op from January 2018 to June 2018, where they performed validation tests and wrote technical reports.

Nicole Marco obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University, where they studied from 2016 to 2021. In addition, they have obtained several certifications including Class III Motorized Hand Truck Forklift Certified from Alta Material Handling in March 2022, Industrial Grade II Wastewater Operator from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Certification of Operators of Wastewater Treatment Facilities in December 2021, and Engineer Special to Have Charge Boiler Operator from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Fire Services in March 2022.
