Azimjon Sayidov

Azimjon Sayidov is a skilled professional in the fields of cartography, geoinformatics, and GIS, currently serving as a Designer FTTH at Circet Switzerland since September 2021. Prior experience includes a role as a Researcher at the University of Zurich, where significant work was undertaken on automating geological map generalization, focusing on constraint-based methods and pattern recognition. Additionally, Azimjon has worked as a Cartographer at the Center for Remote Sensing and GIS in Uzbekistan, contributing to geological map design and accuracy assessment, as well as serving as a Research Assistant at the National University of Uzbekistan, involved in the development of the National Atlas of Uzbekistan. Earlier career experience includes working as a Topographer/Surveyor at the Uzbekistan Institute of Geoinformatics. Azimjon holds a PhD in GIS from the University of Zurich, a Postgraduate Degree with Distinction in Remote Sensing and GIS from the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, a Master's in Geography and Cartography from the National University of Uzbekistan, and a Bachelor's degree in Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre from the same university.
