Shaun Kaasten

Shaun Kaasten started their professional career as a Web Developer at Curve Dental, Inc. from October 2008 to September 2011. Shaun then joined FreshBooks in September 2011 and held various positions including Web Developer, Software Development Team Lead, and Principal Software Developer. At FreshBooks, they mentored developers, led Agile Scrum teams, and made key decisions regarding system architecture. In 2018, Shaun joined ecobee as a Senior Software Developer and later became a Staff Software Developer until February 2020. Currently, they are working at CircleCI as a Staff Software Developer since July 2020.

Shaun Kaasten has a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Computer Science from the University of Calgary. Additionally, they have a Master of Science degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Human Computer Interaction, also from the University of Calgary.
