Matt Penrose

Creative Director APAC at CircleSquare

Matt Penrose has extensive work experience in the creative field. Matt started their career in 2006 as a Freelance/Work Experience designer at Code Blue Group, where they designed and created artwork for various publications. In 2008, they joined Carrot Juice Ltd. as a Designer and worked there until 2014.

In 2014, they moved to Golley Retail as a Senior Designer, where they led shopper marketing projects for UK and European retailers. Matt collaborated with major international brands such as Coca-Cola, P&G, and Nestlé, using research and insights to create consumer journeys and design solutions.

In 2017, Penrose joined CircleSquare as a Senior Creative and worked there until 2019. In this role, they contributed to the creative team's success with their attention to detail and understanding of the design process.

In 2019, they joined Big Bad Wolf as the Head of Creative, overseeing the creative team and leading projects until 2021. Matt then transitioned to the role of Creative Director, responsible for driving creative strategies and overseeing the creative direction of the company.

As of 2022, Penrose holds the position of Creative Director APAC at CircleSquare, showcasing their progression and expertise in the creative field.

Matt Penrose obtained their GCSE & A Level education from Robert Smyth School between 2000 and 2004. Matt then pursued a Foundation Diploma in Art & Design at Loughborough University from 2004 to 2005. Finally, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design at Leeds Beckett University from 2005 to 2008.
