Olivia Silveira is a multifaceted professional with extensive experience in research, education, and social entrepreneurship. Currently serving as a researcher for the Textile Team at Circular Berlin and as a researcher for the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, Olivia also co-founded and leads Projeto Fio, a social business that empowers women in vulnerable situations in Rio de Janeiro through handmade embroidery. Olivia has held visiting lecturer positions at the Istituto Europeo di Design and Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, focusing on topics such as artisanal fashion, entrepreneurship, social innovation, and sustainability. Previous roles include art teacher at Redes da Maré, fashion designer at Biombo and Isabela Capeto, and academic education in design, arts, and philosophy from recognized institutions.
