Joanna Marie Nicholson

Joanna Marie Nicholson is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in strategic communications, public affairs, and social media management. Currently serving as Manager of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs at CIRO / OCRI since May 2021, Joanna provides strategic advice to the executive team and leads the development of comprehensive communication plans for significant initiatives. Previous roles include Social Media Manager and Manager of Member Communications at OMERS, Director of the Board at Connected in Motion, and various communications positions with organizations such as Sun Life Financial, Metrolinx, the Government of Canada, and the Ontario Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services. Joanna holds a BA (Honours) in English Language and Literature from Queen's University, a Postgraduate Certificate in Corporate Communications and Public Relations from Centennial College, and trained in Culinary Arts at George Brown College.
