Karen McGuinness

Karen McGuinness, CPA, CA, ICD, has extensive experience in financial regulation and compliance, currently serving as the SVP Member Regulation (MFD), Member Intake and Innovation at New SRO / Nouvel OAR since November 1998. Previously, Karen held leadership roles including President & CEO and Senior Vice President of Member Regulation at the Mutual Fund Dealers Association (MFDA), as well as Vice-President of Compliance. Early career experience includes serving as Lead Forensic Accountant at the Ontario Securities Commission and Manager of Litigation, Valuation, and Forensic Services at Arthur Andersen & Co. Educational qualifications include a degree in Honors Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Waterloo, a Chartered Professional Accountant designation, and additional education from the Institute of Corporate Directors in Finance and Financial Management Services.
