Rodrigo started their career as a Residential/Commercial Real Estate Agent at Gibson Sotheby's International Realty, specializing in sales for corporate relocations. Rodrigo then transitioned to the field of technology, working as a Network Engineer at Gibson Sotheby's International Realty, where they provided technical consulting and implemented a social network website for real estate professionals in Latin America. Rodrigo later joined Technisource as a Field Network Engineer II, supporting Bank of America branches in the implementation of a large-scale VoIP project.

Rodrigo then took on a role as a Network Engineer Consultant at Core Technology Solutions, working on a Cisco voice gateway decommissioning project and providing network engineering and support for the Boston metro area. Rodrigo continued their career as a Network Engineer at Comcast/Teksystems, focusing on the deployment and implementation of Metro Ethernet fiber optics networks for Comcast in the Boston area.

Rodrigo'sexpertise in network architecture and design led him to work as a Network Architect at the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, where they generated design options for delivering bandwidth and network capacity and implemented fiber network projects. Following this, Rodrigo joined the Executive Office of Technology Services and Security as a Senior Network Project Manager, overseeing network projects and ensuring their successful implementation.

Rodrigo then transitioned to the private sector, joining Governeer as an Infrastructure Cloud Engineer, where they introduced FinOps services, reviewed AWS tagging policies, and facilitated automated cost reporting. Rodrigo later joined We LEAP Forward, participating in the Information Management Leadership Program and focusing on cloud computing deployment, management, and FinOps cloud cost management. Most recently, Rodrigo started working at Cirrus Core Networks as a Network Engineer.

Rodrigo Medina has a diverse education history in various fields. Rodrigo completed their MBA in International Business / Information Systems from the University of Miami between 1997 and 2000. Following this, in 2012, they attended the Network Technology Academy to obtain a CCNA certification in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications. In their earlier years, from 1991 to 1994, Medina pursued a Bachelor of Science in Business, Computers, and Information Systems at Florida Atlantic University. In addition to their formal education, they obtained an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2020.
