Michelle Orozco

Michelle Orozco has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Michelle currently holds the position of Head of Operations at Cirtec Medical since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Smith+Nephew, starting in 2013. At Smith+Nephew, they served as a Value Stream Manager from December 2019 to June 2022. Before that, they held roles including Senior Production Supervisor, Production Supervisor, and Junior Production Engineer, showcasing their progression within the company.

In 2016, Michelle joined Procedure S.A. as an Industrial Engineer, where they worked until November 2019. Additionally, they have experience in the academic field, having served as a Professor at both Universidad Central (CR) and Universidad de Costa Rica from 2018 to 2019.

Michelle Orozco earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree with a specialization in Medical Devices from Tecnológico de Costa Rica, where they studied from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed a Licentiate degree in Industrial Engineering at the same institution, spanning from 2008 to 2013. Additionally, Michelle pursued a Master's degree in Mathematics at Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR) starting from 2014, although the end year is unknown.

In terms of certifications, Michelle obtained the Animal Tissue Use in Medical Devices certification from Quality Systems Compliance LLC in November 2020. Michelle also holds the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 auditor certification from INTECO - Instituto de Normas Técnicas de Costa Rica, acquired in June 2019. Furthermore, Michelle received certifications in Risk Operation from Universidad de Costa Rica in July 2013, and Industrial Statistics from Tecnológico de Costa Rica in June 2012.
