Marc Jones

Marc Jones is an Open Knowledge Attorney who presently serves as the Director and Associate General Counsel for Open Innovation at Cisco, leading efforts in open technologies and collaborating with various teams. Previously, they held legal and IT roles in several organizations, including CivicActions, where they oversaw legal matters and worked directly with DevOps engineers. Marc has also contributed to the University of Connecticut as a Systems Architect, managing information security and project management. They hold a Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law and a Certificate in Data Protection Practice from the Law Society of Ireland. In addition to their professional work, Marc engages in pro bono efforts to promote healthy societal relationships with data, technology, and knowledge.
