Anita D'Amico

Dr. Anita D'Amico is a human factors psychologist and the Director of Secure Decisions, a division of Applied Visions, Inc. in Northport, NY. Anita specializes in information security situational awareness and is responsible for managing all activities of the division, including strategic vision, business development, partnerships, and review of all programs.

D'Amico has over 20 years of experience in the field of information security. Anita got their start in 1999 when they joined Secure Decisions, then a division of Applied Visions, Inc., as a human factors psychologist. Anita has since risen through the ranks to become the Director of the division. Under their leadership, Secure Decisions has become a leading provider of information visualization advanced technology to the Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

D'Amico is a prolific writer and speaker on the topic of cyber security. Anita has authored numerous publications and served as a keynote speaker at numerous conferences. In testimony before the Congressional Subcommittee on Science and Technology, D'Amico spoke on the topic of cyber security R&D and education. Anita was also an invited participant in the new administration's recent Summit on leap-ahead cyber security technologies.

Anita D'Amico received their Ph.D. in human behavior research from Adelphi University, their B.A. in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, and they also have a degree in psychology from Old Dominion University.
