Mario Fanego

Mario Fanego, AMLP, currently serves as Vice President of Internal Audit and Regulatory Compliance at CIT, where expertise is provided to the Risk Management Team and implementation of enterprise-wide BSA/AML and Sanctions Audits is conducted. Previously held positions include Audit Manager roles at HSBC and Barclays Capital, where responsibilities involved co-managing audits and ensuring compliance with global sanctions. Mario also served as Vice President Internal Auditor at Banco Estado de Chile-New York Office, and held various roles at Israel Discount Bank of New York, where oversight of BSA/AML compliance was paramount. Early career experience includes internal auditing at the Bank of New York Mellon. Mario holds a BS in Accounting & Finance from New Jersey City University.
