Bob Van Valzah has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Bob's career began as a Product Manager at TIBCO Software, where they managed product lines and developed techniques for reliable multicast networks. Bob also worked as a Product Manager at Talarian Corp., where they managed the SmartPGM product line and worked with IETF to approve the PGM reliable multicast protocol for Internet use. Bob's earliest role was as a Project Manager at WhiteBarn, where they managed development projects before the company was acquired by Talarian.

Bob Van Valzah attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1978 to 1983. Bob earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the College of Engineering during this time. Their field of study was specifically focused on Computer Science.
