Hazal Kurtcu Besen

Hazal Kurtcu Besen has a diverse range of work experience. In 2013, they worked as a Junior Assistant at GTC SOLAR for a period of three months. This was followed by a winter internship at Oracle in 2014. In 2015, they gained further experience as a Summer Intern at Goldman Sachs. From 2016 to 2018, Hazal served as a Financial Analyst at Goldman Sachs before being promoted to the role of Associate from 2018 to 2019. Their most recent position was as a Risk Associate at Citadel Securities, starting in November 2019.

Hazal Kurtcu Besen is currently a Master of Business Administration (MBA) candidate at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, starting in 2022 and expected to graduate in 2025. Prior to pursuing their MBA, they completed their undergraduate education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2012 to 2016. Hazal obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree with a double major in Mathematics and Economics, with a concentration in Actuarial Science. Before their time in the United States, Hazal attended Oakham School from 2010 to 2012, where they completed their A Levels and studied subjects such as Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Physics. Their secondary education began at Rossall School from 2007 to 2010, where they completed their GCSEs and AS level examinations.
