James McQuillan

James McQuillan has extensive experience in compliance and risk management within the financial industry. James currently serves as the Head of Citadel Securities Compliance Europe, a position they have held since 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Director at KCG EUROPE LIMITED from 2017 to 2020. From 2013 to 2020, they held the role of Head of Compliance at Virtu Financial, where they managed a team in navigating regulatory challenges. Before that, they held roles at Merrion Fund Management Limited and Merrion Stockbrokers Limited, including Director and Compliance & Risk Control Manager positions. Additionally, they served as both the Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Compliance & Risk Manager at FEXCO Stockbroking from 2008 to 2011.

James McQuillan's education history includes a Diploma in Applied Finance Law from The Law Society of Ireland. James also holds a Bachelor of Business and Legal Studies degree from University College Dublin. Additionally, they have obtained a Certificate in Financial Crime Prevention from University College Dublin. Furthermore, James has a Certificate in Fraud Prevention from the same institution. Lastly, they have completed a Certificate Masterclass in Enterprise-Wide Integrated Risk Management from University College Dublin.
