Jianbo Chen

Quantitative Researcher at Citadel Securities

Jianbo Chen has extensive work experience in the field of quantitative research and machine learning. Jianbo began their career as a Research Assistant at The Department of Statistics, the University of Hong Kong, where they worked with Professor Stephen Lee. In 2016, they joined UC Berkeley Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences (EECS) as a Graduate Student Researcher and later took on the role of Graduate Student Instructor. Chen then interned at Ant Financial and Deep Learning Research Center, Microsoft Research, where they focused on research in the areas of finance and artificial intelligence. Jianbo also completed a Quantitative Research Internship at Citadel Securities. Currently, Chen is employed at Citadel Securities as a Quantitative Researcher, where they continue to utilize their skills and knowledge in quantitative analysis.

Jianbo Chen started their education at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2011, where they pursued a Preparation Year in Mathematics. In 2012, they transferred to The University of Hong Kong and obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics in 2015. During their time at The University of Hong Kong, Jianbo also participated in an Exchange Study program at the University of California, Berkeley, in 2013. Following their undergraduate studies, Jianbo Chen went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Statistics at the University of California, Berkeley, from 2015 to 2019.
