Lei (Layla) Zhang has a diverse work experience in the field of finance. Lei (Layla) started their career as a LEAP Program Intern at PwC in 2016. In 2017, they interned at Wells Fargo as part of their Enterprise Risk Development Program. Additionally, they worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of South Carolina during that time.
In 2018, Lei served as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst at Morgan Stanley, gaining valuable experience in the industry. Lei (Layla) then joined WorldQuant in 2019 as a Quantitative Developer Intern, further developing their skills in quantitative analysis.
For the past two years, Lei has been working at Bank of America as a Quantitative Finance Analyst, where they honed their expertise in financial analysis and modeling. In 2022, they started a new position as a Quantitative Researcher at Citadel Securities.

Lei (Layla) Zhang obtained a Master's degree in Statistics from Rice University, where they studied from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Economics and Mathematics at the University of South Carolina from 2015 to 2018. Lei also spent a year studying Statistics at Renmin University of China from 2014 to 2015, although they did not receive a degree from that institution.
