Tanuj Alapati has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Tanuj started their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Alabama at Huntsville in 2015 and worked there until 2017. In 2016, they served as the Chief Instructor and Admin at the Eat Pie Institute of Mathematics. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at Johns Hopkins Medicine as a Research Assistant and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health as an Undergraduate Researcher. During this time, they also worked as a Curriculum Developer and Trial Instructor at Juni Learning. In 2021, they interned as a Semi-Systematic Trading Intern at Citadel Securities. Tanuj later joined Citadel Securities as a Semi-Systematic Trader in 2022. Throughout their career, they have also held leadership positions, such as Head Teaching Assistant for Algorithms and Probability at Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering.

Tanuj Alapati began their education journey in 2014 at Randolph School in Huntsville, where they earned their High School Diploma in 2018. In the same year, they started their undergraduate studies at The Johns Hopkins University, majoring in Computer Science, Applied Math, and Statistics. Tanuj completed their Bachelor of Science degree in 2022. During their time at Johns Hopkins, Tanuj also pursued a Dual-Enrollment program in Mathematics at the University of Alabama at Huntsville from 2016 to 2018. In 2021, Tanuj continued their education at The Johns Hopkins University, specializing in Applied Mathematics, and will receive a Master of Science in Engineering - MSE degree in 2022.
