Will Kaufhold has a diverse range of work experience. Will is currently working at Citadel Securities as a Quantitative Researcher. Prior to this, they were a Physics PhD student at the University of Cambridge, where they conducted research in Monte Carlo and Molecular Dynamics simulation for designing programmable polymers, metamaterials, and single molecule sensors. Will also worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, Department of Engineering, and Whitehead Institute. Additionally, they participated in the international Genetically Engineered Machine Competition as a competitor representing the University of Cambridge.
Will Kaufhold's education history begins in 2008 at St Paul's School, where they completed their secondary education. From 2013 to 2017, they attended the University of Cambridge, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Natural Sciences. Will then pursued further studies at the University of Cambridge from 2016 to 2017, achieving a Master of Science degree in Experimental and Theoretical Physics. In 2015, Will spent one year as an exchange student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, specializing in Physics. Finally, they completed their education at the University of Cambridge from 2017 to 2021, obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Physics.
