Russell Horwitz is Chief Global Affairs Officer at Citadel. He is responsible for how the firm engages with external constituencies globally and oversees Citadel’s communications, government and regulatory affairs and philanthropy.
Russell previously spent more than 16 years at Goldman Sachs where he was a Partner and served in numerous leadership positions, including Chief of Staff to the Chairman & CEO and Co-Chief Operating Officer of the Global Markets Division. Earlier in his career, Russell served as a Senior Policy Advisor to the Chairman of the US Securities and Exchange Commission and Special Assistant to the National Economic Advisor in The White House.
Russell earned a BA in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.
He serves on the Board of Trustees of Children’s Aid and is a member of the Foundation Board of the Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia.
